Data Sources
Where the holiday dates, work hours and timezone data on this site come from — and how we keep them accurate.
Holiday dates on WorkTime follow each country's official national holiday calendar and are verified by hand from late each year into the start of the next.
Official sources, verified by hand
Holiday dates follow the official bulletin or government page that publishes each country's national calendar — a presidency decree, a labour ministry or an official gazette. Every entry is cross-checked by a human; nothing is silently overwritten by automation.
Verification runs from year-end into the new year
Manual verification starts near the end of each year and completes early the next. Countries publish next-year holiday calendars at different times — some in the closing months of the year, some only after the new year, and some holiday dates stay fixed year to year — so how complete a country's data looks can depend on when you visit.

Working hours reflect each country's main business-city timezone and typical office hours; they are indicative and not legal advice.
